Neil Marriott - South Metro TAFE

Before joining South Metropolitan TAFE as a lecturer, Neil gained valuable experience in the garden industry and successfully operated his own business specializing in the installation of irrigation systems and gardens. His diverse background also includes noteworthy projects such as a stint on a farm in Kununurra and managing a property south of Alice Springs, equipped with its own water supply, where he was introduced to the innovative concept of center pivot irrigation.

With a commendable 20-year tenure at South Metropolitan TAFE in Murdoch, Neil has played a pivotal role in developing and delivering training programs. His expertise extends to mentoring apprentices, individuals aspiring to enter the landscape/horticulture industry, lawn mowing contractors, council workers, and irrigation professionals. Neil is deeply passionate about the transformative power of education in providing individuals with a significant advantage.

Neil’s horticultural proficiency spans a diverse spectrum, encompassing expertise in irrigation, soils, hydroponics, nutrition, and plants.
